But yes, when I was working at a full time job a few years back, we did have a few conflicts, though nothing ever happened with me. I guess your tips are something that everyone needs to use.

The best of them being to remain calm and composed and let things pass, which is most important. Also, always have a positive outlook and give the other person benefit of the doubt and try to place yourself in their shoes too. It makes a lot of difference to understand things from their side then.
Thanks for sharing. :)

Re: 6 Good Reasons Work-Life Balance is More Important than Money

I really like this article and certainly think that these 6 points that you make are core to a good work-life balance.

Re: How To Stay Motivated When You’re Underemployed

Bryce,
Nice post. "He was basically telling me to focus my energy within my existing sphere of influence." <--- This sentence has led me to have a change in thinking. Baby steps first right? I remember trying to create an online book club and now figuring out why it failed. I was so caught up in the NUMBER of people joing that I failed to interact with the member I already had. It makes one want to try again in a different mind frame. I'm sure if I would have spoken, chatted or even posted comments with my current members, they would have enjoyed it and told more people about it. Well done Juha.

Re: How To Stay Motivated When You’re Underemployed

Thanks for the thoughtful comment.

If you focus on what you don't have, you're going to be using a lot of energy that could be focused on what new opportunities you might be able to pursue.

If you only worry about being under valued in your career, than you're not likely to change your situation. That requires action and you said it well.

Bryce

Re: Where to Look If You Want the Best Starting Salaries for Your Major

hey does anyone know what a marketing major would make after 5 years in the field and then perhaps 10 years ?

Re: How To Stay Motivated When You’re Underemployed

When I meet people who are unemployeed or are currently looking for a job they very often tell me they want to find out what they want to do and are overwhelmed because "they just don't know what they REALLY want to do". They often struggle with this question and I tell them to look at the problem of unemployement from a differnt perspective.

They essence is: it does not matter what you want. It only matters what opportunities you have or which opportunities you create for yourself. So instead of sitting around and daydreaming what you want, focus on creating new opportunities and then find out if this is something you want to do.

I made the experience that this is less frustrating for people who are not willing to give everything in their life to work on the life that they want but who instead focus on their potential opportunities and then evaluate them based on their wants.

I think your points contribute very well to create more opportunities.

Re: The Simple Secret to Ruling The World…Someday.

Very important distinction. Nobody cannot stop the desire and the question
how you see the world to equip the situation makes the difference.

How you feel yourself when you see on mirror same way reflects
to others. Knowing your limits with
Circle of influence and emotional awareness are key components.

Otherwise, Dedication,
focus, determination and courage are key importantly help without expectation.
It will take to the heights.

Thanks for sharing the post.

Re: The Simple Secret to Ruling The World…Someday.

This is good advice. Personally, when I had cancer as an 8 yr old, I had to learn this quick. There was only so much influence I could have over getting past the cancer and dwelling on it wouldn't make me any better.

Appreciate the comment, thanks for stopping by.

Bryce

Re: The Simple Secret to Ruling The World…Someday.

Great post.
